Apparently, the transactions were worth more than a million dollars and the money reached five digital wallets associated with bank accounts in Colombia. That was the first clue that led the uniformed officers to the residence of Buitrago Ruíz, located in the city of Armenia (Quindío). In one of the fragments of the investigation, it was documented that the alleged criminal had a superuser within the company with administrator privileges. This was used to modify transactional records and alter databases with the possible objective of concealing the fraud. In effect, the Attorney General's Office made the decision to suspend the device power of the digital wallets in which the largest amount of crypto assets were found, managing to freeze nearly 733 thousand dollars to clean up the havoc that the Colombian caused to the North American company.
