Project Summary:
Enterprise IAM & Directory Modernization Project Lead the modernization and operational engineering of a business-critical Ping Directory environment, including AD-to-Ping Directory migration, directory synchronization, cloud/IAM integrations, automation, high availability, security hardening, disaster recovery, and production reliability. The SME will work across IAM, security, cloud, infrastructure, application, vendor, and audit teams to ensure a scalable, secure, and highly available enterprise directory platform.
Job Description
• Lead the technical strategy, architecture, engineering standards, and lifecycle of Ping Directory platforms.
• Design and manage Ping Directory, PingDirectoryProxy, and PingDataSync, including schema, indexing, replication, synchronization, access controls, and high availability.
• Automate infrastructure and configuration using Terraform, Git, Kubernetes/cloud platforms, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Lead Active Directory (AD) migration activities including dependency analysis, data mapping, coexistence, cutover, validation, and rollback.
• Integrate directory services with Okta, Microsoft Entra ID, PingFederate, LDAP/LDAPS, REST, SCIM, PAM, and cloud platforms.
• Drive platform reliability through monitoring, capacity planning, backup/recovery, disaster recovery, patching, upgrades, and failover testing.
• Implement security controls including least privilege, secure LDAP/replication, non-human identities, audit logging, SIEM integration, and compliance requirements.
• Provide senior-level production support, incident leadership, RCA, performance tuning, and preventive remediation.
• Govern production changes, validation, data integrity, backout readiness, and continuous reliability improvements.
• Develop architecture standards, implementation guides, runbooks, recovery procedures, and operational documentation.
• Participate in on-call support for critical incidents, releases, failover events, and recovery exercises.
